Ring Girl Melanie
Melanie leads our team of ring girls and provides customer service for our clients and fans. The 25 year old Des Moines native has been highly visible via numerous live events, print, on video and in television. After attending Grandview College, Melanie secured a key position with a leading national financial company, where she works today. She constantly puts in the added time that is required to attain her goal of working full time in the modeling, advertising, and acting fields.
She has been featured on the cover of Des Moines Register’s Juice Magazine, was a finalist in Juice’s Hottest Reader and the Lazer 103.3 Rock Girl contests, and has been a member of the Iowa Chops Baby Backs Dancers. She has contributed her time and talents to several charities including a runway event for the Salvation Army, as well as events for Habitat for Humanity.
Melanie is well known and liked in the MMA community, having worked numerous shows over the past two years. Melanie was recently named spokes model for All Over Media, the nations largest provider of indoor advertising, and a MaxFights sponsor. She continually seeks new opportunities and values her role with MaxFights greatly as she continues to create positive impressions regardless of the medium.
Ring Girl Joanna
Joanna is the winner of the 2009 MaxFightsDM Ring Girl search, earning her spot on our team by generating thousands of votes on the MaxFightsDM Ring Girl Facebook page. Her first event with us was one of our most exciting, as MMA mainstays Hermes Franca and Josh Neer were on the card. Joanna thoroughly enjoys her various modelling assignments and she is a member of the Iowa Bikini Team. In what is perhaps her most unique role, a painted portrait of her was used in a major motion picture that was filmed in Iowa. Winning the competition was well deserved for Joanna, and she continues to make new friends and fans as part of our promotion. We are entirely grateful for everything she brings to MaxFightsDM, including the smiles on the faces that seem to follow her everywhere.
Ring Girl Moni
The original “Glory Girl”, Moni was hooked on the fight and fan experience from her first event in 2007. Since then, the 22 year old Des Moines native has broadened her experience and includes making it to the top ten in the national Fast and Furious model search. She currently works for a large national company and will begin attending college this fall.
So much of Moni’s life revolves around family and friends. She has a large extended family, and her parents immigrated to the U.S. from Cambodia. She speaks English and Khmer. MMA is part of the family affair, and with 25 cousins, it makes for a big party when everyone gets together for the fights. While she’s tough enough to boss around her three younger siblings, she remains a girlie girl at heart and loves getting dolled up and shopping.
She’s entirely grateful to be living the American dream and credits many of the sacrifices her family has made to make it possible.She is inspired by all that her family has accomplished and is guided and motivated by them every day.
Ring Girl Holli
The four years since Holli launched her modeling career have been filled with many well known names and valuable experiences. As someone who’s completely comfortable being at the center of attention, Holli had originally set her goals on stand-up comedy. “I guess it didn’t work out because I’m not that funny” Holli offered, with tongue firmly planted in cheek. She was evidently funny enough to land a role in a film that was produced by David Spade.
Other accomplishments have included working with nationally renowned agencies and photographers, as well as representing national brands including Axe, Budweiser, L’ Oreal, and Penske Racing. She particularly enjoys her runway work for Iowa fashion designers. She’s an explorer at heart, and one of her personal goals is to see and do everything at least once, with base jumping and an African safari high on the list.
